2015 is a momentous year for Singapore as it marks her 50th year of independence. It is a fitting milestone to reflect on our journey together, celebrate what makes us Singaporean and inspire action to contribute to the future of Singapore together. Treasure SG is a nationwide treasure hunt that will take place throughout year 2015 in celebration of SG50. Every month, treasures will be drop around Singapore at different locations, with clues being release on Treasure SG Facebook Page & Instagram. Following these clues, participants can go around Singapore to hunt for treasures and stand a chance to win attractive prizes. There will also be monthly online contests for participants to win prizes as well! Singapore has come a long way to reach the 50th mark. Treasure SG aims to enable participants to know and learn more about Singapore, as well as appreciating Singapore and her achievements while having fun at the same time.
Through Treasure SG, we aim to achieve the following objectives: 1. To enable contestants to know and learn more about Singapore and appreciate the various achievements Singapore has. 2. To allow for greater national identity with contestants going around iconic places each month in search of treasures, learning about Singapore at the same time. 3. To encourage contestants to interact with different people and hunt for treasures in groups during certain months so as to foster a greater societal bonding. 4. To inspire a greater sense of belonging and allow contestants to treasure Singapore (Treasure SG) more when they go around exploring Singapore and understanding what a great city Singapore is. 5. To encourage more people to celebrate SG50 together through this treasure hunt, especially with attractive prizes to be won.
With numerous SG50 projects ongoing, Treasure SG is one of the very few that actually allows participants to win prizes by participating in our treasure hunts and online contests actively. Efforts with schools are also made to encourage students to participate in the event as well. With a growing amount of Facebook Fans, we are targeting to reach out to 2000 & more people by the end of the event
