SEAMconference will take place from 27-30 May 2016 at NUS. It is a residential conference; participants will be staying at the Cinnamon College. The cost is S$50 per participant. Southeast Asian youths (high school level) will gather to discuss themes spanning education, arts and social inequality under the broad theme ‘ASEAN Identity'. Organized by the National University of Singapore University Scholars Programme and the Yale Southeast Asian Movement, the conference is titled “Southeast Asia 20/20”. Youth participants will meet with professionals, and student mentors to plan policy memos based on the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Blueprint. Mentors will guide them through workshops to hone their critical thinking and presentation skills before teams present their policy memos. The SEAMconference is supported by the United States Department of State through the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Seeds for Future Grant and supported by institutions such as the International Republican Institute.
